While I think Rebel football fans are excited about the coming season, I haven’t seen a lot of unrestrained euphoria about it. There are just too many variables to warrant wild enthusiasm. New head coach, new players, new OC, tough schedule, etc. I believe we’ll do well, but I’ll just be taking it one game at a time.

They might have a “bad” year now and then, but they quickly take steps to see that it doesn’t become the status quo. They have not hesitated to send head coaches packing, even in years where their record would be considered satisfactory at other schools. They always seem to do an excellent job of evaluating talent and signing productive players. They consider making the postseason and regularly hosting to be ”normal“ for them. They won’t tolerate mediocrity in their baseball program. Therefore, there is no mystery why they are usually good year in an year out.
