Ole Miss women’s basketball keeps reloading through the transfer portal, this time gaining the signature of LSU star point guard Jada Richard, who started 34 of the Tigers 35 games during the 2025-26 season.
Richard was one of the three mainstays in Coach Kim Mulkey’s starting lineup alongside Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams. She averaged 9.5 points per game and 3.3 assists while directing the offense from the point.
Richard comes to Oxford with two years of eligibility remaining.
“Jada is exactly what we were looking for in a point guard,” said McPhee-McCuin. “She’s a competitor, great defender, can shoot the ball extremely well, and is a true floor general. What I like most about her is her self-confidence and her ability to elevate others. She will be a tremendous fit here at Ole Miss.”
Out of Lafayette (La.) Christian Academy, she was rated a four-star and top 100 prospect by ESPN.
In addition to Richard, the Rebels have signed Jaida Civil, Maya Anderson, Talaysia Cooper, Knisha Godfrey, Emily Howard and Rachael Okokoh out of the transfer portal. Along with returners Desrae Kyles, Lauren Jacobs and Sira Thienou, Ole Miss currently has 10 student-athletes on its 2026-27 roster with more to come.
