FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Tom Fischer co-leads at the Mason Rudolph Championship after firing a bogey-free round of 4-under 67. The No. 14/13 Ole Miss men’s golf team posted (290, +6) and sit tied for ninth after 18 holes of play.
Fischer shares the individual lead with Auburn’s Jackson Koivun.
The Birmingham, Alabama native made the turn at 1-under and got the flat stick rolling on the back nine, picking up his second birdie of the day at the par-3 13th. He made it back-to-back with another at 14 and closed his round with a circle at the par-5 18th.
The round marked Fischer’s 14th in red figures this season and seventh in the 60s.
Daniel Tolf and Cameron Tankersley both shot 3-over 74 in their opening rounds. Collins Trolio posted 4-over and Cohen Trolio shot 5-over. Jacob Blanton who is competing in the individual slot finished his day at 6-over-par.
Ole Miss will continue round two action Saturday.
