The climb from SEC contender to national threat is complete for Ole Miss.
Now, the Rebels head to Bermuda Run with something bigger on the table.
Under head coach Chris Malloy, No. 10 Ole Miss Rebels men’s golf earned the No. 2 seed in the Bermuda Run Regional on Wednesday, marking the program’s ninth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance and the 18th in school history.
That consistency has become the standard in Oxford.
Malloy has transformed his alma mater into one of college golf’s most reliable postseason programs, guiding the Rebels to 10 regional appearances in the last 12 seasons while building the longest NCAA Regional streak in program history. And this year’s squad may be his deepest yet.
Ole Miss enters postseason play with nine top-five finishes, three tournament titles, and the program’s first SEC Championship since 1984 — a breakthrough moment that shifted the Rebels from dark horse to legitimate national contender.
The veteran core has been the engine.
Senior standouts Tom Fischer, Cameron Tankersley, and Cohen Trolio have anchored one of the nation’s most balanced lineups, with all three ranked inside the top 55 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings and top 20 of PGA TOUR U.
That experience shows up in pressure moments.
Ole Miss doesn’t just survive tournaments anymore — the Rebels control them. The lineup depth, composure, and scoring consistency have turned this group into a roster capable of making a serious run toward Carlsbad.
The next stop comes May 18-20 at Bermuda Run Country Club, where the Rebels will look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.
And if this season has proven anything, it’s this:
Ole Miss isn’t showing up to regionals hoping to advance.
The Rebels are arriving expecting to contend for a national title.
