Rebels losing Tylis Jordan to the portal

The portal for college basketball transfers is officially opened for business, and the Rebels are eager to seize this unique opportunity with a sense of urgency, as this window for movement has historically been one of the shortest, running until April 21st.

While the Rebels are focused on potential new additions to the roster, this period will inevitably see the departure of current Rebels, who look to explore their options and test the waters in what could be a pivotal moment in their careers.

Among those leaving is Tylis Jordan, who has announced his intention to enter the transfer portal. Standing at an impressive 6’9″, Jordan was originally part of Chris Beard’s 2025 recruiting class and hails from Wheeler, Georgia.

His recruitment was noteworthy, as he was ranked as the No. 77 overall player in the 2025 class, earning recognition as the No. 15 power forward nationally and No. 7 within his home state of Georgia. This past season, however, Jordon did not take to the court in competitive play; instead, he redshirted, a decision that now adds layers of intrigue to his next move.
