Ole Miss linebacker Suntarine Perkins enters the 2026 season with another major accolade to his name. EA Sports has rated the Rebels’ defensive star as the No. 1 Right Outside Linebacker in College Football 27, awarding him a 92 overall rating and recognizing him as the best player at his position in the game.
The honor comes after a standout 2025 campaign in which Perkins recorded 81 total tackles, 41 solo tackles, 4.5 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. His ability to make game-changing plays from multiple positions has made him one of the most feared defenders in the SEC.
Perkins’ elite speed, versatility, and instincts have made him the centerpiece of Pete Golding’s defense. Whether rushing the passer, dropping into coverage, or making plays in the open field, Perkins has consistently proven to be one of the nation’s most complete linebackers.
