Ole Miss players prepare for the 2026 NFL draft

After a monumental 2025 NFL Draft, a new draft season is upon us, and a few Ole Miss players expect to hear there names called.

The 2025 NFL draft was remarkable for the Ole Miss program, as eight players were drafted, the most in the modern era.

With the 2026 draft looming on April 23-25, most expect fewer names to be called but not by much according to most mock projections.

With many names up for surging projection charts, Ole Miss players De’Zhuan Stribling, Harrison Wallace III, Zxavian Harris, Kapena Gushiken, Diego Pounds, and Jayden Williams all hopet to hear their names called throughout the draft process.

Ole Miss tight end Dae’Quan Wright, was not included in the ESPN or NFL’s mock draft, and although this has no true significance, Wright could still hear his name called.

Of the names called, wide receiver De’Zhuan Stribling is predicted to hear is name called first, after a standout single season in Oxford.

Stribling accumulated 811 yards in the air with the Rebels, and six touchdowns. Stribling continued to shoot up many draft stocks after a impressive performance at the NFL draft.

His 40-yard dash at the combine stood out amongst scouts, as he posted a 4.36 time, ranking eighth amongst all wide receivers. His strength, speed, and size will be valuable for any team that drafts him.

Amongst the other players, Diego Pounds and Zxavian Harris are expected to be the next players off the boards for the Rebels.

Pounds had a fantastic second season in Oxford, winning the SEC co-offensive lineman of the week award twice.

Harris remained with the Rebels throughout his entire collegiate career, he finished with six career blocked kicks, tying for the second most in SEC history.

The NFL Draft will be April 23-25, starting at 7 p.m. CT Thursday. On Friday the second and third rounds will begin at 6 p.m. CT with rounds four through seven beginning on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
