The baseball cliche is good pitching beats good hitting, and that lingered in the back of my mind as Ole Miss used outstading pitching to limit Tennessee to one run in game two while Georgia looms as the next weekend visitor after piling on 27 runs on Arkansas, including a 15 run ninth. In comparison, I was utterly astounded at the Rebels’ 6-run ninth in including back-to-back hoimers including Bisetta’s grand slam. Right now still worrying what Tennessee will try to do to Rabe in the Sunday Finale, with fingers crossed that the Rebel bats that ground out 12 hits against some pretty remarkable Tennessee pitching will do to sustain pressure.
April 19, 2026 at 4:47 am in reply to: ND Okafor commits to Ole Miss: A game-changer for Chris Beard and the Rebels #12239::It is hard to argue with your pick this year, though I really think an other fcormer Rebel Daeshun Ruffin who averaged 23.3 points for Jackson State as well as leading the team in assists and steals this past season, recovering from three bouts of injuries over three seasons inclluding two at Ole Miss deserves at least a vote. I am just glad the you8ng man was able to finish his college career with a flourish.
