Five-star running back David Gabriel Georges is still expected to announce his college commitment on July 22, with Ole Miss, Ohio State and Tennessee believed to be the three finalists for one of the nation’s most coveted recruits.
As his decision approaches, much of the attention has shifted to the potential NIL package surrounding his recruitment. Recruiting circles continue to speculate that Georges could command a deal worth north of $1 million, which would make his recruitment one of the most valuable in the 2027 class. While no financial terms have been confirmed publicly, the buzz continues to build heading into his announcement.
Ohio State and Tennessee appear to have the momentum entering the final stretch, but Ole Miss remains firmly in contention. Georges rushed for 1,756 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading Baylor School to an undefeated state championship season as a junior. At around 220 pounds, he reportedly runs a 4.38-second laser 40-yard dash and has been clocked at 21-plus mph in games. His combination of power, vision and elite speed makes him one of the nation’s premier running back prospects.
