PHOENIX – Ole Miss women’s basketball’s Christeen Iwuala secured MVP honors after leading Team Lieberman to a 72-69 victory in the 2026 Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game on Saturday morning at Global Credit Union Arena.

Iwuala led all scorers with 15 points on a 71.4 clip from the field, while also adding eight rebounds and two steals.

The Rebel senior came out fighting in her All-Star appearance, grabbing the first four points for Team Lieberman. Despite a strong start for Iwuala, her performance peaked in the second half where she scored nine points, six rebounds, zero rebounds and made the game-winning free throw.

“The experience was incredible,” said Iwuala. “I was honestly surprised by how welcoming and engaged everyone was from the start. It felt like a true team effort, with coaches focused on helping us grow and put ourselves in the best position to succeed. It was a completely different atmosphere from other showcases I’ve attended, and I felt like I was coached really well and able to put my best foot forward.”
