Crews Jenkins with Ole Miss offensive coordinator John David Baker on Friday.
Ole Miss hosted a 2027 quarterback out of Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy on Friday. Crews Jenkins was back on the Oxford campus and visited with assistants Joe Judge, Joe Don Baker, Jake Schoonover and head coach Pete Golding.
Ole Miss offered Jenkins a little less than a month ago, though he had visited multiple times prior to his offer.
The 6-0, 182-pounder is rated as America’s No. 71 quarterback and the No. 41 player in the state of Tennessee by the industry average.
Ole Miss is the lone SEC offer on Jenkins’ sheet right now. In addition to the Rebels, Jenkins holds offers from Memphis, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, South Florida, Southern Miss, Charlotte, FIU, Jacksonville State, Miami (Ohio), New Mexico State, Texas State, Toledo, Tulsa, UAB and Central Arkansas.
Jenkins worked behind Tennessee quarterback signee George McIntyre as a sophomore at Brentwood.
BOTTOM LINE
Ole Miss likes Crews Jenkins and the Rebels are the first power four program to take a bite out of the apple. They won’t be the last. Jenkins is already on the clock as a member of the 2027 class. We believe Friday’s visit has put Ole Miss squarely on his mind.
