Women’s golf advances to NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Leading the field with a day-three best 286, the No. 19 Ole Miss women’s golf team finished in a tie for fourth place overall on Wednesday at the NCAA Louisville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club. The performance punches their ticket to the 2026 NCAA Championship, which will take place May 22-27 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

This marks the seventh time in program history the team has qualified for the NCAA Championship event, each coming in the past nine seasons and all under head coach Kory Henkes.

Once again, Kajsalotta Svarvar paced the Rebels with a 69, three-under par, finishing the regional in third place individually at eight under. It marks the fourth top five finish on the season for Svarvar and fifth time in the top 10.

Mary Miller carded a two under par on the day, setting her at four under across 54 holes to sit in a tie for ninth individually, marking her fifth top 10 finish of the year. Matilda Björkman ended the event in a tie for 26th overall at even after shooting a 74 on the day, while Filippa Sundquist shot 74 as well.

Sophie Linder turned in a one-over par performance on the day to help propel the team’s stellar third round.

The 2026 NCAA Championship will consist of 30 schools, with each competing in 54 holes of stroke play. The top 15 teams will then move on (along with the top nine individuals on non-advancing teams) to one day of stroke play. The top eight schools will advance to match play to eventually decide the national champion.
