Women’s gold shares lead at NCAAs

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The No. 19 Ole Miss women’s golf team posted a 282 to finish the day six under par, sharing a spot atop the leaderboard after the first day of the NCAA Louisville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club on Monday.

Leading all golfers at the 12-team event with eight birdies, Kajsalotta Svarvar finished the first day carding a 67 to sit at five under par and tie for the overall lead individually. Joining her in the top 10 was Mary Miller, who shot a 69 to finish three under par after ending her day with birdies on four of her final seven holes.

Sophie Linder wrapped up the day even, while Matilda Björkman finished two over.

The Rebels’ 282 places them in a tie for the overall team lead with Houston, while Arkansas and Xavier sit in a tie for third place two strokes back.

Ole Miss is set to begin day two of the NCAA Regional at 7 a.m. CT.
