Our name says it all. We will cover the Rebels a full 365 days per year. Whether it is football or basketball, baseball or softball and other sports, OleMiss365.com will take you into the huddles and dugouts to bring you in-depth, courtside-style coverage every single day of the year.
Recruiting will be one of our strongest areas. With the team of David Johnson, national recruiting director Marcus Dent, writer and recruiting assistant Lee Ann Herring (formerly of the Rebel Walk) and talent evaluator and former Ole Miss Rebel Mike Espy, the OleMiss365 team has you covered.
The team of Johnson, Herring, Dent, former Ole Miss and NFL wide receiver Mike Espy,Thomas Michael, Caleb Diamond, Darby McRainie, Adam Brown and John Bowen will provide football team coverage that will simply be out of this world. That includes podcasts by Johnson and former Rebel Mike Fitzsimmons, Dent, and McRainie and former Rebel Jalen Walton.
One of the highlights of OleMiss365 will be a LIVE SEC-centric morning show which begins airing on Monday. The show, hosted by SEC Guru Steven “Stingray” Ray and Heath Hopkins, is amply called the Stingray Show. It will air live Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
The entire field of podcasts include Old Heads with David Johnson and Mike Ftzsimmons, Gridiron Insight with Marcus Dent, The Players Lounge with former Rebel baseballer Shaune Holiday, Grass Roots with McRainie and Walton and Top Shelf Grumbling with super Rebel fan Dan “The Don” Walls, an Ole Miss-centric podcast with gambling tips and more.
Dent will also host Coach Q’s Court with Ole Miss assistant women’s basketball head coach Quentin Hillsman. Coach Q’s Court will air every Tuesday night on OleMiss365.com.
In addition to these shows, we are proud to say that we are also an additional home to Steven Willis’ extremely popular Locked on Ole Miss podcast. Willis provides expert opinion and analysis on Ole Miss athletics.
The written story remains of the utmost importance to OleMiss365.com.
Baseball will be covered by the team of staff writers that include Michael, Diamond and Brown. Many writers may know Brown’s previous work at HottyToddy.com.
Johnson, an avid softball fan, will cover that sport, as the Rebels are coming off the program’s first-ever trip to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. In addition to softball and football, Johnson will also turn his attention to women’s basketball.
Men’s basketball will belong to Michael, who also serves as a communications officer with the Oxford Police Department. Women’s hoops will be covered by Johnson. Other sports will be covered on an as-needed basis by the staff.
We are also excited to announce that former Rebel defensive tackle KD Hill plans to contribute a weekly column to OleMiss365.com.
“Our goal is to entertain and inform,” said Johnson. “We are striving to be the number one news source for Ole Miss fans and the top source for Ole Miss sports-related entertainment. Rebel fans are top priority in our minds.”
