Tianna Thompson is leaving the Ole Miss women’s basketball program. The 5-10 guard from Atlanta, who transferred to Ole Miss from Georgia Tech, announced her intentions on Friday.
Thompson was a role player for the Rebels during the 2025-2026 season. She played in 34 games, earning two starts. Thompson averaged 6.0 point and 0.3 assists per game.
Noted for her ability from three-point range, she shot 41.6 percent from beyond the arc. On Feb. 26, she scored za career-best 25 points against the Florida Gators in a game n which she connected on a whopping seven shots from beyond the arc. She also scored in double-digits during a victory over nationally-ranked Vanderbilt in the second round of the SEC Tournament.
The NCAA transfer portal opened for women’s basketball on March 25. It runs through April 23.
