Tampering or Fair Game? Dabo vs Ole Miss Explained | SEC Gauntlet Live

A deep freeze shut down the South — and now the college football legal world is on fire.

On this special Monday night edition of The SEC Gauntlet, Jason Watkins and his Ole Miss 365 co-hosts welcome Kchris Griffin (Horns Down Podcast), John Lewis (T-Town Media), and Shawty Parker (Just My Damn Opinion) to break down the most controversial NIL/transfer dispute of the offseason.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is accusing new Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding of “blatant and illegal tampering” after portal linebacker Luke Ferrelli flipped from Clemson to Ole Miss.

Swinney claims he has proof that Golding and his staff contacted Ferrelli while he was under a financial agreement with Clemson. Ole Miss and Ferrelli’s agent say no signed NIL or revenue-share contract ever existed.

So who’s right? And more importantly — does any rule even matter anymore? We’ll also compare the case to Duke’s stunning lawsuit against quarterback Darian Mensah, where the school claims it has a binding NIL contract through 2026 and is seeking to block his portal entry through the courts.
