Todd Cooley
Sources have confirmed with OleMiss365.com that Delta State head coach Todd Cooley is poised to step away from the Statesmen to join Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding’s staff. The news was first reported by Football Scoop but since confirmed by OleMiss365.com.
It is thought that Cooley would assume a position of assistant to the head coach at Ole Miss, as well as serve in some recruiting capacity.
Golding’s alma mater is Delta State, though he never played for Cooley, who has been at the Cleveland, Miss., university since 2013. Prior to that, Cooley served as the offensive coordinator at Arkansas Tech, Central Arkansas and Northwestern State.
Cooley led Delta State to the national playoffs in 2014, 2017, 2022 and 2023.
