The Rebels recently continued to keep the momentum strong in their recruitment efforts for 2028 Florence (ALA) defensive tackle Jahyden White, making a strong impression just days ago when they offered the rising Alabamba prospect. It wasn’t long before White took the opportunity to embark on an unofficial visit to Ole Miss, where he is currently soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Spring Ball today in Oxford.
White took a quick pause on the visit to share what has been standing out so far to him: “My visit is going great. I love everything about the coaches. I enjoyed practice, the competition, and the intensity from the players just getting after it and going full speed about everything they do.”
This past season, the impressive 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive lineman showcased his skills with a strong sophomore campaign where he recorded 20 tackles for loss, made 41 solo tackles, assisted on 44 others, tallied three sacks, forced two fumbles, and batted down one pass while also applying pressure with ten hurries.
His performance has not gone unnoticed, as both Ole Miss and Missouri stand out among SEC programs that have extended scholarship offers to this promising athlete. My quick take is his formidable physicality coupled with his untapped potential—he is essentially a blank canvas still in the early stages of development.
We will have more with White after he wraps up his visit later today. Stay tuned.
