Rebels set to host ULM guard Que McBroom

Oddly enough, we’re entering a brief dead period in the portal over the next few days. However, that won’t slow things down, especially with the portal set to close on January 16th. Pete Golding and his team are hitting the ground running and expect more of the same as we approach the finish line.

A key focus for the Rebels remains acquiring talent in the trenches. This week, Ole Miss will have its eye on Louisiana-Monroe offensive lineman Que McBroom. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 320 pounds, this powerful guard has made quite an impact during his two seasons with the Warhawks. He played 981 snaps and allowed just two sacks throughout his career.

It looks like an SEC showdown for McBroom between Ole Miss and Alabama. He’s scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa on Wednesday, but Ole Miss will have the final say by hosting him on Thursday and Friday.

As of now, these are his only confirmed visits. Arizona and Mississippi State have extended offers, but there’s no word yet on any visits to those schools.

Additionally, McBroom is a former JUCO All-American who is currently appealing to the NCAA for an extra year of eligibility. We’ll keep you updated on his visit and more right here at Ole Miss 365.
