HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The No. 15 Ole Miss women’s golf team completed round one at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Monday at Long Cove Club. The Rebels posted (300, +16) and currently sit tied for 12th.
Kajsalotta Svarvar had a strong opening day despite the cooler temperatures and windy conditions. She rattled off a round of two-under 69, for a team best seventh round in the 60s this season. Svarvar is one of only seven players in red figures and is tied for third heading into the second round.
The high winds proved tough for the field as No. 9 Texas was the lone team to post an under-par score.
Second round action will begin Tuesday morning at 10:10 a.m. CT. Golf Channel will provide live coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m.
