“Bringing Brooke back to Ole Miss is a special day for our program,” said Trachsel. “As an alumna, she understands what it means to wear this jersey and the standard we expect every day. She brings an incredible passion for developing pitchers, a genuine investment in our student-athletes, and the knowledge and experience to help them reach their full potential.”

“Working alongside Coach [Nancy] Evans, Brooke will provide another level of support and development for our pitchers, combining elite pitching instruction with the latest performance technology to ensure our pitchers have all of the resources they need to be successful both in the circle and beyond. We’re excited to welcome Brooke back home!”

Vestal will work closely with assistant coach Nancy Evans on developing Rebel pitchers. The Rebels are set to welcome five new pitchers in addition to returners Lilly Whitten, Graycen Jordan and Addi Linton.

A native of New Braunfels, Texas, Vestal spent two seasons as a player for Trachsel and the Rebels from 2022 to 2023 after beginning her collegiate career at Oklahoma. Vestal would go on to complete her collegiate career and pursue her master’s degree at Texas A&M following her graduation from Ole Miss.

In her collegiate career, Vestal went 18-6 with a 3.07 ERA over 73 appearances, tallying 173 strikeouts across five seasons.

Most recently, Vestal has served as the pitching coach for the Texas Bombers 16U Gold program, where she has been instrumental in the program’s success. Vestal helped develop individualized pitcher development plans focused on mechanics, command, movement profiles, pitch effectiveness, and competitive execution.

Vestal is also the owner and pitching performance instructor of Spinny Gals, where she has helped design pitcher development programs, coordinate bullpen sessions and throwing programs, while maintain detailed athlete performance records like video libraries, metrics and more. Vestal has also served as a camp director for Spinny Gals.

Prior experience for Vestal also includes time as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M, where she assisted with pitcher development initiatives alongside the pitching staff and OGX performance specialists, en route to the Aggies sharing the 2025 SEC Tournament title.

Vestal is currently completing her master’s degree in sports management from Texas A&M. Additionally, Vestal holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from Ole Miss that was completed in 2023.
