Ole Miss women’s basketball added another big piece to its future Tuesday when four-star point guard Nyair McCoy announced her commitment to the Rebels.

4-star point guard Nyair McCoy

The 5-foot-4 standout from Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland picked Ole Miss over several other college programs, giving head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin another talented playmaker in the 2027 recruiting class.

McCoy has built a reputation as one of the top point guards in the country. Even at 5-foot-4, she makes up for her size with quickness, toughness, and the ability to create for both herself and her teammates. She plays with a high motor, pushes the pace, and isn’t afraid to take over a game when her team needs a bucket.

Her commitment is another strong recruiting win for the Rebels, who continue attracting some of the nation’s top talent. McCoy brings leadership, speed, and a competitive edge that fits the style Ole Miss wants to play.

With McCoy now in the fold, the future continues to look bright in Oxford as the Rebels add another highly regarded prospect to an already impressive recruiting class
