Ole Miss Defeats ULM 7-1

A seven run fourth inning propelled Ole Miss to a 7-1 victory over Louisiana Monroe on Saturday night in the Ole Miss Classic.

Ole Miss (15-5) sent nine players to the dish in the fourth that was capped off by a two-run home run by Maddie George to left.

George finished the game going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Ole Miss’s Kyra Aycock was in the circle against ULM. Aycock with three scoreless innings to open the game against Louisiana Monroe.

ULM’s starter Ashanti McDade kept the Rebels off the scoreboard through the first three innings.

McDade worked three plus innings allowed four runs on three hits with four walks and striking out two Rebels.

Aycock’s night came to a close after 5.0 innings allowed a run on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts.

In the sixth, Lilly Whitten entered the circle to finish the game.

Ole Miss returns to the diamond on Sunday to take on ULM. The first pitch is set for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
