Ole Miss basketball hires Austin Cox as director of operations

Amongst many moves from the Ole Miss basketball roster and coaching staff, Chris Beard has hired Austin Cox as the new director of operations.

Cox will oversee areas that include analytics, recruiting, and budgeting. Cox has worked in several roles at many different programs including Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, and Southern Miss.

Cox also worked with the company “Hudl”, where he served as an executive, helping elevate high school athletes to connect and reach the next level of college athletics.

Cox will work closely with coach Beard, in a day-to-day role, a director of operations helps with travel logistics, team events, and as a liaison for the program.

Other staff moves for the Rebels include former assistant coach Wes Flanigan moving to Georgia Tech as the associate head coach.
