Missouri edge rusher Daeden Hopkins is a major challenge for Ole Miss’ offensive line. Through six games, Hopkins leads the Tigers with seven sacks, tied for third nationally, and 25 quarterback pressures.
Hopkins isn’t the only threat. Donta Simpson has added 18 pressures, giving Missouri another defender who can disrupt the pocket. Ole Miss will need clear communication up front and may need to give its tackles help from a tight end or running back.
Quick throws and a balanced offense could help keep the pass rush in check. Staying out of obvious passing situations will matter, too. The key for Ole Miss is protecting Trinidad Chambliss long enough to let the offense work.
