Ole Miss is rewarding one of the most successful coaches in program history.
The Rebels have agreed to a new four-year contract with head baseball coach Mike Bianco following another standout season that ended with a trip to the College World Series in Omaha. The new deal includes a base salary of $1.625 million per year, making Bianco the second-highest-paid baseball coach in the SEC.
The extension is another sign of Ole Miss’ commitment to keeping one of college baseball’s most accomplished coaches in Oxford.
Since taking over the program in 2000, Bianco has transformed Ole Miss into a national powerhouse. He is the winningest coach in school history and has guided the Rebels to 20 NCAA Tournament appearances, nine Super Regional appearances, and the program’s first national championship in 2022.
This latest contract comes on the heels of another impressive campaign, as Ole Miss returned to Omaha and reaffirmed its place among the nation’s elite programs. Under Bianco’s leadership, the Rebels have consistently competed at the highest level while developing countless professional players and building one of the SEC’s premier baseball programs.
With the extension now in place, Ole Miss ensures the architect of its sustained success will remain in the dugout as the Rebels continue their pursuit of another national championship.
