Men’s golf tied for 4th after day one at Cabo, sitting just two strokes off lead

LOS CABOS, Mexico – The No. 13 Ole Miss men’s golf team is tied for fourth after day one action at the Cabo Collegiate. The Rebels posted (282, -2) and sit just two strokes off the lead.

Three players posted rounds of par better with Tom Fischer leading the way at two-under.

Fischer’s round of 69 marked his fifth in the 60s this season, placing him just outside the top 10 heading into round two.

Collins Trolio stepped up in the five spot, posting one-under 70 in his opening round. Through nine, Trolio was one-over par but battled back with three birdies over his final nine holes to get into red figures.

Cohen Trolio shot even par and sits tied for 25th. He now has 10 rounds of par or better this season.

Cameron Tankersley posted one-over par and Daniel Tolf shot five-over Sunday at Twin Dolphin Club.

Ole Miss will begin round two at 9:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
