Mary Miller
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Mary Miller of Ole Miss women’s golf has received second team All-SEC honors, the conference announced Friday. It marks the first all-conference honor for Miller, who arrived in Oxford last fall after transferring from Georgia Southern.
In her second season on the collegiate circuit, Miller set a new career-low 54-hole score of (204, -6) and tied her career-low 18-hole score of (68, -4). The Savannah, Georgia, native has been a leader for the Rebels all season, pacing the team in rounds under-par (13) and top 10 finishes (4).
She’s tallied a 71.77 season scoring average and finished runner-up in stroke play at the SEC Championship, marking a season best finish.
Miller looks to guide the Rebels in the upcoming NCAA Regionals, May 11-13. Ole Miss will be the No. 4 seed in the Simpsonville Regional set to be played at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
It will be the eighth straight NCAA Tournament appearance for the Rebels and the sixth straight regional in which Ole Miss has earned a No. 4 seed or better.
