Hooks, Bissetta named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The ABCA announced this afternoon thatOle Miss sophomore Walker Hooks and senior Tristan Bissetta have been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Team.

Both were named to the First Team with Bissetta claiming one of four outfield spots and Hooks one of four relief pitcher spots.

Bissetta is hitting .277 with a team-leading 23 home runs and 61 RBI. His 23 home runs are the third-most in the SEC and his 61 RBI are the ninth-most in the conference.

Bissetta has set career highs in home runs, RBI, hits, doubles, walks, and total bases in one season at Ole Miss and has four multi-homer games under his belt. He had just one in his entire career before coming to Ole Miss.

On February 18 against Jackson State, Bissetta hit two home runs in the third inning, becoming the first Rebel to accomplish the feat in almost a decade. Nick Fortes was the last Rebel to hit two home runs in the same inning, doing so in 2017 against ULM.

Hooks currently carries a 3-1 record with nine saves, an ERA of 2.43, and 61 strikeouts over 55.2 innings on the season. He has solidified himself as the Rebels’ lock down arm to come out of the bullpen in high leverage situations.

Hooks finished the regular season leading the SEC in ERA (1.73), WHIP (0.80), and appearances (17) during conference play. He was also tied for the league lead in saves with seven. The big left-hander was also ranked second in fewest walks allowed (6) and tied for fifth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.00) in league games.

The big lefty has converted eight of his last nine save opportunities and has allowed just four earned runs over his last seven appearances.
