No. 2 Georgia delivered a dominant first-half performance Saturday night at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, racing out to a 28-0 lead over No. 10 Ole Miss.
The Bulldogs scored touchdowns on four of their drives and controlled every phase of the game. Georgia built a 14-0 advantage after the first quarter and added two more scores in the second to seize complete command of the high-stakes SEC matchup.
Craig Dandridge Jr. opened the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run. Gunner Stockton then connected with Talyn Taylor on a 58-yard scoring strike, pushed the lead to 21-0 with a short touchdown pass to tight end Ethan Barbour early in the second quarter, and capped the half with a 15-yard rushing touchdown of his own.
Ole Miss, which entered the night with one of the SEC’s more productive offenses, managed limited production. The Rebels totaled under 110 yards and were held without a point. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss faced constant pressure, and the Rebels’ only real scoring chance ended when Lucas Carneiro missed a long field-goal attempt in the first quarter.
Georgia held a massive edge in total offense (around 285-100) and time of possession. Nate Frazier led the ground attack with strong early runs, including a long gain that set up the first touchdown.
The Rebels will need a major second-half turnaround to stay in contention in front of their home crowd. The game is airing on ABC.
