We are being skulldragged all over the court by MSU. When a team can’t even get up for its instate rival, you know the wheels have come off. My concern—-and I hope I’m wrong—-is that Beard has checked out, is planning to move on, and the players know it.
If Beard has checked out, good luck finding a new decent job. That is a thing called integrity. You give a full days work to the very best of your ability for a full days pay. I am afraid he is just not adapting to the new paradigm, much like Dabo. He can either reinvent himself and his coaching and player selection approach or wind up at McNeese State or some D2 school.
I think that like many coaches Beard is a system guy. Last year when our guards switched to a big they would be a pest. He needs a the right type of players to be good like most coaches. I realize AK is not having a great year but he adapted to what he had.
