At first blush does Ole Miss need three fan sites? I truly don’t kn ow. Started out with Chuck in print, and suffered through David’s covid bout and have hung in with the odd Rebel Grove transition process. Both competing sites to this have their own unique assets. I am hoping this one gives a third perspective. For me mainly I want to know what is happening and smoth meat in the depth looks, the things that one misses by not being in Oxford. I hope this site doesn’t devolve into a soap opera of personality clashes (though I have noticed that this site is already geting notice on one of the other sites that was once the original Ole Miss Spirit sites). I have been following Ole Miss football since 1949, when my father was on the facul8ty as we were lving in the old white Vet Villge apartments, and he had students over for a dinner and one of them was an Ole Miss football player and World War II veteran who brought a football that in my three-year-oldf memories was gigantic. through mist of my childhood and teen years never saw Ole Miss lose a game. My first loss was Ole Miss losing to Alabama in a snow-lined Sugar Bowl. That same year my first experience of Tiger Stadium was a 37-3 win that was my football highlight until the Hee-Haw Kiner game, amd Archie is my favorite quarterback, though Trinidad is a close second. So looking forward to seeing how this entry into the Ole Miss fan market does.
Yockney, what’s important to me at a site is not having red/blue glasses on at all times, report as accurately as possible knowing what’s truthful one minute, may not be an hour later. Very important to me is to be able to post and not get cussed at or ridiculed. Most posts are opinions so why do people need to get ridiculed for an opinion. Civility will live on this site because that’s the kind of man David is. Hotty Toddy
Oscar, I don’t know how you stayed on the other site as long as you did. It was horrible they way you were treated and no moderator said one thing about it. Being female, the vulgar language and pics of naked women made my decision easy. I’m glad I’m here and not there.
Yockney, I am good with two sites and the site David just left is the weakest of the three options. Information on that site all hits first on Ben’s site and is brought to that site by other posters. So why keep three? My opinion fwiw. And nice matters to me so the rudest and most toxic site was cut from my entertainment menu!
