We watched Jones work closely last summer at the Jackson State/Southern Elite MegaCamp. He was impressive.

365 SCOUTING REPORT LI’MARCUS JONES

By Shedrick McKenzie, 365 Recruiting Analyst

Li’Marcus Jones is one of the more physically impressive offensive line prospects in the 2027 class, possessing ideal Power 4 tackle measurables at 6’6” and 300 pounds. He has a long, well-proportioned frame with room to continue adding functional strength while maintaining mobility. His combination of size and athletic ability immediately stands out on film.

In pass protection, Jones shows natural foot quickness and smooth lateral movement, allowing him to mirror edge rushers effectively. He plays with good balance and flashes the ability to anchor against power. His length gives him a natural advantage, enabling him to control defenders once engaged. As he continues refining hand placement and improving consistency with pad level, his pass protection ceiling is extremely high.

In the run game, Jones displays physicality at the point of attack and the ability to generate movement in downhill schemes. He climbs well to the second level and shows coordination in space, making him scheme-versatile. With continued strength development, he projects as a dominant presence in both gap and zone concepts.

Off the field, his 3.6 GPA reflects discipline, accountability, and strong character—traits that translate well to long-term development. His football IQ shows up in his ability to recognize stunts and adjust to defensive fronts.

Overall, Jones projects as a multi-year Power 4 starter with significant upside.
