Former Ole Miss pitcher Taylor Rabe signs $3 million dollar deal with Kansas City Royals

Former Ole Miss pitcher Taylor Rabe has officially signed his contract with the Kansas City Royals, around the $3.2 million dollar mark.

Rabe was selected by the Royals with the 30th overall pick in this years MLB Draft.

Rabe started in 11 games this year, while making an appearance in 17 for the Rebels in 2026.

Rabe created a strong resume this season with the Rebels in the 2026 season, shooting up draft boards in a matter of months. MLB scouts rave about his arm strength, his fastball consistently reaching the 95-100 mph, making him a top name amongst many draft boards.

Rabe is the first Rebel drafted to have signed a contract with their pro team so far.
