Coach John Garrison really kicked things into engine in 2025, helping the offensive line see great success within a historic offensive season.

After facing much pressure going into the 2025 season, coach John Garrison and his unit delivered at the highest order. Ole Miss finished top-30 nationally in sacks allowed, the Rebels offensive line saw five games with zero sacks allowed, and three games with only one.
Former Ole Miss great Terrence Metcalf was recently hired to the staff as a assistant coach, where he will work with the unit for the upcoming season.
With Veterans Jayden Williams and Diego Pounds entering their names in the NFL draft, the offensive line will experience some changes, while also retaining some key players.
At the head of the unit is center Brycen Sanders, finishing his first season as a starter, Sanders has quickly become a fan favorite amongst Ole Miss fans. After sitting and learning for two seasons, Sanders got the opportunity to help lead the Rebel’s unit in 2025, and he didn’t disappoint.
With great versatility and a strong work ethic, Sanders became a vocal leader for the team and never shied away from his loyalty to the university. Sanders dealt with a torn rotator cup throughout much of the 2025 season, while also dealing with a torn labrum. Sanders finally went through surgery after the conclusion of the Rebels run to the Fiesta Bowl, and is expected to miss spring ball as he recovers. The Tennessee native should be ready to go for fall camp.
Along with Sanders, Kent Hull Trophy Winner Patrick Kutas and Delano Townsend return to the program. In his first season with the Rebels, Kutas was awarded the Hull trophy, which is presented to the top offensive lineman in the state. Kutas transferred from Arkansas after the 2024 season, and struggled early with the Rebels, but quickly became comfortable and elusive for the Rebels success last season. His presence on the inside helped the Rebels jump tremendously in red zone success compared to the 2024 season.
Townsend’s progression throughout the season was evident, and pivotal for the success of the offense last season. Townsend entered his name in the transfer portal in January, only to remove it two days later. The experience and leadership Townsend will be able to provide after the historic run last season, will be beneficial in helping transfer players and new arriving high school players.
Pete Golding and John Garrison picked up four very important needs for the team throughout the transfer portal in LSU’s Carius Curne, Oklahoma’s Troy Everett, Florida’s Enoch Wangoy, and Miami’s Tommy Kinsler IV.
Carius Curne is the highest rated offensive lineman Ole Miss grabbed out of the portal this offseason, ranking as the no.2 lineman in the entire transfer portal. The Marion, Arkansas native was the number one player in Arkansas for 2025. His explosiveness and mobility as a lineman makes him a standout player, Curne also played as a defensive lineman in high school. Curne appeared in eight games for LSU last season, and after a solid first season with the Tigers he looks fill a much needed spot for Ole Miss at the outside tackle position.
Troy Everett’s 2025 season with the Sooners was cut short after the first game, dealing with a season ending knee injury. Everett’s full potential has not been on display yet, as he’s dealt with knee injuries the season before as well. A tough leader according to former head coaches, if healthy, Everett can be a game changer for the Rebels offense in 2026.
Enoch Wangoy comes in at 6-7 33lbs, his size and frame can be a problem for opposing defense’s, but never made an appearance for the Gators in two years. A depth piece at glance, but spring ball will be crucial for movement of Wangoy to make a true name for himself.
Miami’s Tommy Kinsler was one of the last additions from the portal for Ole Miss, and will help provide great depth and competition this season. With experience as both a LT and RT, Kinsler’s versatility will keep all players on their toes, pushing everyone to compete and practice at the highest level knowing no one’s job is ever safe.
A team can only be as successful as their offensive line unit allows them to be, and after a fantastic 2025 season, expectations will be even higher for the Rebels this season.
