The No. 30 Ole Miss Women’s Tennis team lost to No. 23 Florida, 4-1, at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon night.
Ole Miss (6-5, 1-4 SEC) managed to get ahead of Florida early after taking the doubles point. Ole Miss’s duo of Alice Soulie and Riley Crowder defeated Valery Gyina and Brooke Black, 6-4.
Shortly after, the No. 85 duo of Andrea Nova and Emily Welker picked up a ranked doubles win after they defeated No. 19 Xinyi Nong Nikola Daubnerova, 6-3, securing the doubles point for the Rebels.
In singles, Florida (8-3, 3-2 SEC) managed to come back and clinch the match by taking four straight singles courts.
Ole Miss will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, on Friday, March 13, for a matchup against the No. 19 Oklahoma women’s tennis team at 5 p.m.
