Pete Golding won’t be alone when Ole Miss takes the stage at SEC Media Days in Tampa.
Joining the Rebels’ head coach will be three of the program’s biggest names: quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, running back Kewan Lacy and linebacker Will Echoles. The group gives Ole Miss plenty of star power, but it’s also likely to face some of the biggest questions surrounding the program heading into fall camp.
Beyond the usual talk about expectations for the 2026 season, reporters are expected to ask Golding for an update on the NCAA’s tampering investigation involving linebacker Luke Ferrelli. As of now, Ole Miss has not publicly announced any new developments or resolution from the NCAA, and there have been no confirmed updates indicating the investigation has moved into a new phase.
Another topic that could come up is the ongoing situation involving LSU and the reported buyout dispute. Publicly, there has been no announcement that Ole Miss and LSU have reached a resolution or made significant progress since the issue surfaced, making it another storyline worth monitoring this week.
