Dia, Storr playing in Portsmouth Invite

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Showcasing some of the top professional basketball prospects in the nation, the 72nd annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament will begin on Wednesday, April 15, with Ole Miss forward Malik Dia and guard AJ Storr each earning a spot in the event.

The tournament will be played from April 15 to April 18 at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia, with each of the eight teams playing three competitions. The P.I.T. has featured numerous top-prospects in the past, with an alumni list that includes Scottie Pippen, Jimmy Butler, John Stockton, Dennis Rodman, Tim Hardaway and more.

Dia played in all 35 games for Ole Miss this past season as a senior, finishing second on the team in scoring at 14.5 points per game while leading the squad in rebounds at 5.7 per outing. He posted four double-doubles in 2025-26, capping off his collegiate career by scoring 70 points at the SEC Tournament to help Ole Miss win three games.

Malik Dia

Seeing action in all 35 games this past year, Storr led Ole Miss in scoring at 15.5 points per game, including 17.5 per outing during conference action. He played a key role in the team’s historic run at the SEC Tournament to reach the semifinal round, dropping 78 total points at the event, the 10th-most in a single SEC Tournament in history.

Over the past three seasons, Ole Miss has seen six players earn invites to the Portsmouth Invitational, including Allen Flanigan and Jamarion Sharp in 2024, and Jaemyn Brakefield and Sean Pedulla in 2025.

Dia will play his first game on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. CT, while Storr begins on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. CT.
