Ole Miss has landed another major defensive piece.

Elijah Cox
Elijah Cox, a talented 2027 EDGE from Westlake High School in Atlanta, has committed to the Rebels, giving Pete Golding another athletic pass rusher for the future.
Cox chose Ole Miss after considering Clemson, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Purdue and Florida State. His official visit to Oxford helped push the Rebels to the top, with defensive line coach Randall Joyner and Golding building a strong relationship throughout the process.
As a junior, Cox recorded 35 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks and returned an interception for a touchdown. His length, athleticism and ability to pressure the quarterback make him another strong addition to a defensive front that continues to become a major strength of Ole Miss’ 2027 recruiting class.
