Tight end Jace Cannon
Ole Miss reached into the sate of California on Thursday to an offer one of the country’s top tight end prospects. The Rebels extended an offer to 2027 tight end Jace Cannon out of Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, Calif.
The 6-5, 200-pounder is rated as America’s No. 31 tight end by the industry-average rankings. He could also obviously play wide receiver on the next level.
Ole Miss is the second SEC program to offer Cannon. Texas A&M was the first. He also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, Duke, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Stanford, UCLA, Southern Cal, Utah, Washington, Washington State, Boise State, San Jose State, Oregon State, new Mexico and San Diego State.
Cannon caught 29 passes for 569 yards and three scores as a junior in 2025.
365 SCOUTING REPORT
Cannon has some growing to do before he ever lines up as a college tight end, but coaches believe he owns the frame to develop into a good one. He played in the slot a good bit as a junior. Cannon is an incredible athlete who also participates in competitive mountain biking, baseball and basketball. Runs like a running back once he catches the football, which indicates with added weight he could be a good blocker at the tight end position. The bottom line: Cannon is a player who will likely need a few years of development before he flourishes as a tight end in major college football.
