Jeremiah Dent, right, with former Ole Miss offensive assistant Enrique Davis during one of his many visits to Oxford.
Class of 2027 running back Jeremiah Dent has released his top eight schools. Dent is out of Marion (Ark.) High School and has visited Ole Miss numerous times. He has also competed in our Southern Elite Combine Series on multiple occasions.
Half of Dent’s top eight come from the SEC, Dent named Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn and Vanderbilt, as well as Miami, Arizona State, Iowa and North Carolina.
The 6-0, 200-pounder is ranked as the the state of Arkansas’ No. 2 player in the 2027 class by the industry average. He also owns offers from Cincinnati, NC State, Purdue, SMU, Appalachian State, Memphis, Arkansas State, Georgia State, South Florida, UTSA, Charlotte, FIU, Liberty, Rice, Toledo, Sacramento State and others.
WHAT WE THINK
We have known Jeremiah Dent since he was a freshman. We absolutely love him as a player and person. We know Dent wanted the Ole Miss offer extremely, and he was super excited when it happened back in June of 2025. We also believe that proximity to the Ole Miss campus from his hometown of Marion, Ark., will be a factor. Ole Miss offers Dent an opportunity to play SEC football just 96 miles from home. But there is a but. We all know it’s a difficult task to pull any recruit from the Natural State when the Razorbacks are calling. But Fayetteville is not in his backyard. In fact, it is some 300-plus miles from his home. Ans there is the state of the programs to consider…Ole Miss is at the top of the college football power structure with two preseason Heisman candidates (quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy) in its backfield. Arkansas, meanwhile, just hired Ryan Silverfield and defensive coordinator Ron Roberts from Memphis and Florida. No doubt improvement is on the horizon, but it may take longer than the Dent era to really see it. I believe Jeremiah Dent will be an Ole Miss Rebel at the end of the day.
