In their most recent outing, Ole Miss women’s basketball, ranked No. 13/14, narrowly lost to No. 21/23 Alabama, falling 64-63 at Coleman Coliseum in their fourth consecutive game away from Oxford.
Despite the defeat, Ole Miss had standout performances from Christeen Iwuala and Latasha Lattimore, both of whom recorded double-doubles. Cotie McMahon also shone with a team-high 22 points. In the 2023-24 season, Ole Miss recorded its largest win over Arkansas, defeating them 87-43 in Oxford two years ago, followed by a commanding 39-point victory last season.
Ole Miss standout Madison Scott has tallied four double-doubles against Arkansas, with her most recent performance contributing to the Rebels’ impressive 39-point win. This achievement marked her 30th career double-double, as she led the team with 11 rebounds alongside 10 points. Tameiya Sadler and KK Deans also made significant contributions to the scoring effort, adding 17 and 15 points, respectively. Both Scott and Deans facilitated play effectively, each dishing out five assists while Ole Miss outpaced Arkansas with a total of 13 assists.
The Rebels’ current winning streak against the Razorbacks began on March 4, 2021, when they triumphed over their rivals in the first round of the SEC Tournament with a score of 69-60. At that time, Arkansas was ranked No. 13 nationally, marking Ole Miss’s first appearance in the SEC Quarterfinals since 2010.
