Rebels add another in-state talent to their 2026 class

Pete Golding continues to cultivate talent from his own backyard in the Sip. Ole Miss has welcomed another promising addition to their linebacker corps with the signing of Tre’kievion Ellis, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound standout from Copiah Academy. Ellis chose Ole Miss over offers from Mississippi State, Minnesota, South Alabama, and Arkansas State.

Throughout his high school career, Ellis had to work hard to showcase his abilities, and today he demonstrated that his long-held dream of playing in the SEC is within reach—thanks to his determination and undeniable talent. While he may not yet be a household name or highly ranked, those metrics do not reflect the tangible value he brings to the field. Playing at running back, linebacker, and edge, Ellis possesses unique skills that allow him to excel on both sides of the ball, offering immense potential for development into an elite athlete at Ole Miss.

His size is an additional asset that will bolster the linebacker room. As a run defender, he rarely misses an assignment and excels at dissecting opposing backfields during run plays. Although there are areas where his skills could benefit from refinement, he has shown flashes of agility when rushing the passer.

Joining a talented group that includes elite players like Suntarine Perkins and Keaton Thomas, Ellis brings untapped potential that could be honed into a formidable force for the Rebels. Best in the Sip! Stay in the Sip!
