WHAT WAS AT STAKE?
Georgia proved that it was an early-season contender in the rough and tumble SEC by avenging it New Year’s Day loss to the Rebels. Ole Miss was hoping to prove it belonged in the highest echelons of SEC team, but there is obvious work remaining. Yes, it was Georgia’s home court, and winning on the road in the SEC is not easy, but the mission was not accomplished for Ole Miss.
