Natchez High 2027 ATH Kameron Morgan has made his presence felt across the field this season. He has accounted for 37 touchdowns, thrown for more than 1,300 yards and rushed for more than 1,000.
Morgan’s elite speed and ability to break tackles make him difficult to bring down once he gets into the open field. At quarterback, he can hurt defenses with his arm or his legs. When opponents load the box to limit his running, he’s ready to make them pay through the air.
“One thing that’s been working well for me is my ability to throw the football,” Morgan said. “Teams try to load the box and stop me from running, and that’s when my arm talent has to take over.”
His impact extends beyond offense. Morgan also lines up at free safety and contributes as a kick returner and punt returner. He rarely leaves the field, giving Natchez a versatile playmaker who can change the game in multiple phases.
“I feel dangerous anywhere on the field,” Morgan said. “At quarterback, I can control the game, put together drives and score. At safety, I can read the field and see things differently.”
Morgan believes his versatility, mindset and consistency set him apart. He wants college coaches to see that his production is not limited to highlight plays.
“I want college coaches to know that the plays on my film aren’t just highlights—I perform that way week in and week out,” he said.
Natchez coach Steve Davis sees Morgan’s leadership and competitiveness as major parts of what make him special.
“Kam is the ultimate leader for us, both on and off the field,” Davis said. “His confidence is backed by his work ethic and knowledge of the game. I don’t think I’ve coached a more competitive player. His teammates gravitate toward his leadership because he doesn’t just talk about the process—he lives it.”

Davis believes Morgan’s playmaking ability will translate to the next level, where he expects him to have the ball in his hands.
“At the next level, Kam needs to have the ball in his hands,” Davis said. “I see him playing running back and returning kicks. Whoever signs Kameron Morgan is getting a winner!”
Morgan currently holds one offer, from Hinds Community College. He remains confident in what he brings to a college program.
“Personally, I believe I am the best athlete in the state,” Morgan said.
The Bulldogs are 7–2 with one regular-season game remaining and a possible playoff berth within reach. Morgan’s production and all-around contributions have helped put Natchez in position to keep its season going, while strengthening his case as one of the state’s top players in the 2027 class.
