Josh it’s basically unregulated free agency. With revenue sharing, they have to have a budget. Every player has an assigned value. If they demand more than that value, then you can either overpay or let them walk. The staff has a roster to fill out. So, they have tough decisions to make. Pro sports teams trade or let players go yearly due to salary cap constraints. They are just more organized. In college, guys will agree and sign a deal and then want a new deal a week later. Without regulation, you get chaos.

He rallied the team around him and won two games in the CFP. With Lane bent on revenge against Ole Miss and having no scruples whatsoever, we knew this was going to be a rocky Portal experience. Pete and the staff have done a good job of stockpiling defensive players (which we needed) and picked up some solid offensive players. With Kiffin’s desperation, desire to harm Ole Miss and lots of money to throw around, he was inevitably going to take some of our players. However, it looks like Pete and his he staff have brought in enough new talent to counter most of our losses.
