Ole Miss gets in early with speedy Texas WR Trenton Weary

Ole Miss is making an early move in Texas, extending an offer to 2029 Atascocita wide receiver Trenton Weary.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect from Humble, Texas, also holds reported offers from Texas Tech and UTSA, giving him an impressive start to his recruitment.

Speed is one of the biggest attractions to Weary’s game. With a reported 4.45-second 40-yard dash, he has the potential to stretch defenses, create separation and turn short catches into explosive plays.

There’s also a familiar connection between Atascocita and Oxford. Current Ole Miss receiver Darrell Gill Jr. played his high school football at Atascocita before joining the Rebels.

For Pete Golding and his staff, getting involved this early gives Ole Miss an opportunity to establish a relationship with Weary before his recruitment takes off.

With three reported Division I offers already on the table, Weary is a young Texas playmaker whose recruitment could become one to watch.
