Ole Miss has Giovanni Tuggle committed.
That doesn’t mean everybody else has stopped recruiting him.
The four-star 2028 safety from Winder-Barrow (Ga.) committed to the Rebels in September after multiple trips to Oxford, including a visit for the win over LSU.
Tuggle still plans to take visits, and that’s something Ole Miss will have to manage. He’s one of the better safety prospects in the 2028 class, so other programs aren’t going away just because he picked the Rebels.
Ole Miss has plenty working in its favor.
Tuggle likes his relationship with the staff, the atmosphere in Oxford and how Pete Golding sees him fitting into the defense.
“It just felt like home to me,” Tuggle said after committing.
What I like about Tuggle on film is his range. He can cover ground, play in space and gives Golding some options with where to line him up.
He doesn’t have to be locked into one role, either. Tuggle has the athleticism to play deep, come downhill or handle coverage responsibilities.
That versatility makes him an important piece of this 2028 class.
Ole Miss is still in a good position. But with visits ahead and plenty of time left in his recruitment, the Rebels have to keep working.
The Rebels landed him. Now they have to keep him.
