The off-week was good for the Ole Miss Rebels, according to tight end Luke Hasz. The Rebels had a week to soak in the loss at Florida before playing Vanderbilt this Saturday.
“It’s been good,” Hasz said Tuesday. “Coming after that loss, i mean obviously it sucks, but our season is not over. We still have a lot to work for, and I think this past week we put a lot of work in.”
Ole Miss and Vanderbilt will kick off from Nashville at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN.

Did the Rebels shake off the lop-sided loss to Florida over their bye week?
“That’s in the past. We’re focused on playing with confidence, playing fast and physical and doing all the things necessary to win,” Hasz expressed.
Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding has talked about the physicalness of the bye week practice. Hasz’ take on it?
“Yeah, we got after it last week” Hasz deadpanned. “I know the defense got after it a lot, but we have too, like in the run game and stuff like that. But each one of our Tuesday and Wednesday practices are the most physical part of the week. Yeah, they’ve all been really physical.”
Hasz offered his assessment of Vanderbilt.
“They play hard,” he said,” especially just watching their defense. A lot of the guys fly around. It’s not always about who the person is, The all just play extremely hard. They have no quit in them.”
