Trinidad Chambliss
Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding fully understands he has perhaps the best quarterback in all of college football on his roster in senior Trinidad Chambliss.
All Chambliss has accomplished this year is power the Rebels to a 3-0 start and the nation’s No. 4 ranking.
And there seems to be much more to come.
Golding went directly to Chambliss’ relationship with the Lord and even mentioned his own two sons when discussing Chambliss.
“People forget that those first two games of last year, he wasn’t the starter. And so he came in very humble and worked extremely hard and then got his opportunity when Austin Simmons went down in that Kentucky game and didn’t look back,” Golding said. “But I think his attention to detail and his focus, you know, how close his relationship is with the Lord and how big that is for him, I think a lot of people don’t realize. And the positive leadership that he has on our team, just based on who he is and how he approaches his work, is something I hope my two boys, you know, one day can be talked about the way that I talk about him.”
No. 4 Ole Miss plays No. 21 Florida in Gainesville at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The contest will be televised by ABC.
